In my Gateway I ran the following command
tor -v
output: Tor 0.4.7.13
After checking on the tor website I saw their latest version is 0.4.8.7 (source - torproject.or*/download/tor/)
May I ask when will Whonix update tor to this version?
On further research I think debian uses LTS Tor version so one assumes the answer is when they have updated the LTS version.
