Tor browser updates increases overall Whonix space quite a bit. Optiont to install fresh copy wiping out old?

What I have observed is incremental smaller updates to Tor browser often leads to increase in Whonix storage space. This is strange behavior indeed as expected increase in OS space should be closer to at least such smaller updates. For example, assume the new browser update is 4 MB than corresponding Whonix size approximately grows by 40 times 4 MB to 160 MB.

I found this and repeated to be sure and results are almost same. Maybe an option to do a fresh install of Tor browser whenever required by fetching latest installer could help while wiping out remnants of the old?

Whonix doesn’t develop, software fork Tor Browser.

What Tor Browser Internal Updater does is not under control by Whonix.

This is by design.

Tor Browser Downloader by Whonix can do a complete re-installation.

Therefore it’s highly unlikely that any new feature will be introduced.

The hopium on the horizon to simplify the Tor Browser Update: Technical Details (which would probably also solve your request kinda since Tor Browser would be a normal Debian package) is Would stable Tor Browser deb package help or burden whonix devs?.
