running some programs will give this result , this is happened with different applications one of them vrms will give this issue:

something needs to be installed ? or we just ignore it?

Not a bug by default in Whonix. Comes from some custom configuration
applied by user. Therefore should be sorted out as per
Free Support for Whonix ™.

vrms is installed by default , not customization i have done.

or you mean the tool vrms itself needs user customization?

Can’t reproduce.

I did get the locale settings with programs run from terminal, including apt-xxx.
Could not find out the cause, so I just reconfigured locales in the templates (happening in Whonix only). .

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

and choose en_US.UTF-8, which should be the default after a fresh installation.

or as i saw in debian-9 inside qubes , it install “locales-all” which we miss inside whonix. normal installation sudo apt install locales-all will break whonix, needs further modification to be implemented.
