Zsh: permission denied: sudo

Hello I’m brand new to Whonix, I installed a Ubuntu 24 LTS on my mini pc then added a Virtual Box.
The Gateway work and the terminal return something when I do a “sudo -l” but when using this same command on the Workstation I have “permission denied : sudo” (no matter the sudo command)
It’s normal? So I can’t install anything with sudo on the Workstation? I can’t even do a “sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y”

Thanks for any tips.

any type or words we can simply ctrl+f to navigate straight to direct instructions for enabling sudo permits on workstation kind sir? :cowboy_hat_face:

Ah thank you Patrick for the links, now it make sense.

Hello, I activated admin mode to be able to use sudo as “user”. I just want to know, if there is any chance that I can reinstall user-sysmaint-split for better security?

@supkt Yes, you can, but keep in mind that removing user-sysmaint-split exposes you to security risks, and those risks are not fully mitigated when reinstalling it. See the “Optional. Discouraged.” note here:
