Why are some pre-installed programs in Whonix, such as KeePassXC 2.7.10 or Electrum, not up to date? Why are these programs not regularly updated to the current versions?
They are provided by the Debian repos. Debian is a stable release distro, meaning that they do not update to the latest versions of software, but instead backport bug and security fixes as needed to avoid introducing new bugs in existing software.
