Comments below Whonix wiki pages will soon be possible. Here is a screenshot how it approximate will look like:

The comments field can be added below Random News
.
Purpose:
- Allow quick and dirty feedback by users.
- Anyone can comment. Even anonymous users. Unless it becomes a burden due to spam.
- Posting (unencoded) external links may be restricted to discourage spam.
Non-purposes:
- User support. These will be redirected to the forums.
- A free speech platform. (limitations on free speech in Whonix forums)
- Immortalization. A posted comment doesn’t grant the right to remain there forever.
So there is need for a summary/introduction text which explains “comments will be deleted” and a link to a yet to be created Wiki Comments Policy
page.
Technically implemented by using Extension:Comments - MediaWiki.
So there is need for a summary/introduction text which explains “comments will be deleted”
Comments will be deleted after some time. Specifically after comments have been addressed in form of wiki enhancements. See Wiki Comments Policy
.
That text could be added on the Template:Footer - Whonix page below " This is a wiki. Want to improve this page? Help is welcome and volunteer contributions are happily considered! See Conditions for Contributions to Whonix, then Edit! IP addresses are scrubbed, but editing over Tor is recommended. Edits are held for moderation.",
