One issue was reported in the VirtualBox version. Whonix-Gateway cannot upgrade. The kernel upgrade freezes the VM. Likely a too low default RAM issue. Related:
Current Whonix system requirements for Non-Qubes-Whonix hosts is 4 GB.
(That is for with Whonix with XFCE. Not for Whonix CLI. Though, that wiki page doesn’t really spell that out.)
Current Default RAM settings for downloadable Non-Qubes-Whonix builds:
Whonix-Gateway: 512 MB
Whonix-Workstation: 768 MB
Non-Qubes-Whonix requires RAM as per the following:
768 MB (workstation RAM)
512 MB (gateway RAM)
16 MB (gateway video RAM)
128 MB (workstation video RAM)
Leaves the host with only around …
Stable. no major showstoppers. Some nitcpicks:
I2P and Privoxy still need manual installation. I2P First startup wizard appears. Will have to disable it in conf.
Trying to access display setting causes its window to crash and never open.
Have you deprecated TBB first start security slider popup? It no longer appears. It’s for the better since it was always broken
Let’s switch the forum link from the onion to clearnet
