Hello, I’m relatively new to Whonix and computers so apologies in advance.
Tried fresh install of qubes, the problem persists.
When I run Tor in my Whonix appvm I get a notification in tor saying firefox updates are available. It reappears instantly when I try to close it every time.
This has happened on this machine consistently.
Now I cannot open Tor. I get this error.
ERROR: Tor Browser ended with non-zero (error) exit code!
Tor Browser was started with:
/home/user/.tb/tor-browser/Browser/start-tor-browser --verbose --allow-remote
Tor Browser exited with code: 139
OPEN_LINK_CONFIRMATION_COUNTER: 0
To see this for yourself, you could try:
Start Menu → System → Xfce Terminal
Then run:
/home/user/.tb/tor-browser/Browser/start-tor-browser --verbose --allow-remote
I haven’t changed anything from the default installation. What is this “allow remote” business? I verified the Qubes iso and it checked out.
Would really appreciate some clarification.
