Calamares does not support swap files yet.

Personally I don’t see any blocker in the two lists. There is none. You can run swapon -s or cat /proc/swaps to verify.

Both the Gateway and Workstation have no swap.

Thanks for testing! Would have been surprising if there was.

We need to re-check this for Whonix Host. Since it gets installed using calamares (which handles partitioning) there could be an unwanted swap partition.

I can test it for that too. Where do I download it?

Not yet available for download. Even developers-only builds aren’t fully
bootable yet. Development on going. That’s the recent topics on Whonix
Host Operating system and Hardened Debian in Whonix development forums
recently.

There is none indeed for VMs but it has to be re-checked once/if #whonix-host becomes a thing.
