I recently went through the installation process of upgrading to whonix 17. I booted up the gateway and went through the normal process but when it came time for it to run tor it tells me:
“Job for tor@default.service failed because the control process exited with error code. Error Code 1: Often, this is because of your torrc file(s) has corrupted settings. See “systemctl status tor@default.service” and “journalctl -xe” for details. You may not be able to use any network facing application for now”
So I go to tor control panel and it tells me that tor controller can not be constructed and its likely due to “disabled Network 1” line in the torrc file. I find the file and the line but the line says “Disable network 0” .
Not sure whats going on or what to do from this point. Any help would be appreciated.
