Till now, i used whonix gateway 8.2 + win xp or win7 and everything works good
I downloaded whonix 9, made updates via apt-get update apt-get upgrade, all updates downloaded, whonixcheck shows that all is updated and there is connected to TOR but on second system (win xp or win7) there is no connection. I havent found this problem on forum on known issues so i post now
Besides, after all updates with whonix 9.3 there is red “failed” when gateway starts about apparmor parser or something. Should it be like this?

IP's changed. So you need to redo network settings for custom workstations according to:

Probably this?

If i install casino software on VM - win xp or win7 (+ socks5), is there more possible to track my real identity?
The short answer is: "more possible", yes, I think ideally best off if we all share a common config.
The longer answer, to which degree and such, is quite a complex one: https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Documentation
sorry my english is quite low so im not sure am i understood good. you propose to NOT install any software on VM because my real identity can be dangerous?
Ok i understand now. Thank you for your help and for all your work.
I wonder, can we share the risk of identity for two cases.
1 - connection
2 - user behaviour
mainly, can we say that identity is risked because of user behaviour (for example same usernames, same style of writing etc) but not for connection?
I understand, we can connect some correlation of time, hardeware or sth between main OS and VM, but if useing completly other hardware when connect with Whonix, and never connect two worlds (anonymous and non anonymous) can we relay on whonix gateway connection?
This past Saturday I did an update/upgrade on both gateway and workstation per (20141101-07:49:19 sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade). Today both gateway/workstation are still at 8.2.
I tried to manually upgrade twice from release 8 to 9 per [url=https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Upgrading_Whonix_8_to_Whonix_9#Upgrading_Whonix-Workstation]Release Upgrade - Whonixverbatim but both times failed identically. After upgrading and restarting both gateway and workstation VMs, neither VM could connect to TOR network. Icons were blank in start menus for whonixcheck and whonixsynch. When I clicked on them nothing happens. Each time I reverted back to original 8.x state prior to upgrade.
I downloaded ~.ova’s for release 9 instead. Again, tried to follow instructions per [url=https://www.whonix.org/wiki/File_Transfer#Transfer_files_from_the_Whonix_Workstation_into_a_different_Whonix-Workstation_through_a_VDI_file]File Transfer - Whonix. Got as far as instantiating a VDI on workstation 8.x and transferring my data to it successfully. However, I cannot mount the VDI to workstation 9.x. Followed instructions to copy VDI via virtualbox media manager, and added copy to workstation 9.x storage configuration. When I start workstation 9.x it does not recognize ‘sdb1’ ergo I cannot mount.
