I already use sway on wayland.
I don’t think it’s easy or possible to use sway with XFCE.
XFCE has its own window manager. If you want to use XFCE on wayland, XFCE should become its own wayland compositor.

A Debian dev talks about using i3 (and potentially Sway + Wayland) along with other components to make a functional DE:
