Ubuntu Lagging?

  1. i have a Laptop
  2. Installed Ubuntu on a External Drive and Encrypted it at Installation (is this secure enough or do i need anything else)
  3. installed VirtualBox
  4. moved over a old Whonix VM Set from my old Win7 installation
  5. Started it
  6. the Mouse pointer is lagging around in any of the 2 window (Workstation/Gateway) even with just 1 started

any reason??

(Whonix is based on Kicksecure.)

Thanks i installed Kicksecure and even with just that running it lags, is there any way to troubleshoot?

Not a whonix specific question…better to look elsewhere

Otherwise maybe check /var/log/syslog for output about the issue??

This issue is most likely reproducible:

  • without Kicksecure
  • without Whonix

Which makes the issue unspecific to Whonix. Which gives you access to more support resources.

can you post your machine RAM amount and CPU version?
