I have a problem with using my Trezor hardware wallet together with Whonix. I’ll say up front that I’m not a very technical person, but it seems to me that the problem is not really with Whonix itself but with any virtualized system in general. I made a USB Passthrough according to the guide from the Internet and trezor itself works. But the problem occurs during a firmware update, because the trezor then reboots and lsusb detects it after the reboot under a different device id so that the whole whonix has to be rebooted and the update process can never be completed. I couldn’t find any other tutorial on the internet that allowed to redirect the whole usb port instead of a specific device, for example. Would anyone be able to describe this problem on the wiki or at least here on the forum? What should I do?
