My question was more related to the potential of having a connection error due to a falsely configured workstation. If I understand you correctly though, the issue happens on the gateway. Are you able to connect to Tor on your host? Also, did you try restarting/reloading your connection? Did you edit torrc in any way? Also, what Hypervisor do you use and how did you set it up?
