Tor reports: NOTICE BOOTSTRAP PROGRESS=0 TAG=starting SUMMARY="Starting"

Host: openSUSE Leap 42.1
Running it from KVM. How do i fix it and get started ?

This is from running whonixcheck from the gateway

And Tor bundle runs and connects well from the host.

Hm. It could be that your guard node is overloaded or currently down. Try connecting using a bridge and see if it works.

I don’t get it, can you explain it please ?

Just adding some extra information to be clear:
followed the instructions from here

virsh -c qemu:///system net-autostart default error: failed to get network 'default' error: Network not found: no network with matching name 'default'
So i created the virtual network ‘default’ virbr0 as isolated virtual network like here:

Is that the setting you talking about ? The other option i get while setting up virtual network is : Forwarding to physical network - Destination -physical device eth0 - Mode: Nat option /Routed option .

Thanks for posting more details. It looks like default is mis-configured. For some reason libvirt on Opensuse doesn’t create the default network like Debian.

The “default” network must be set to NAT to allow connections to the outside world. The Whonix network is already created as the isolated network.

Thanks that worked, I removed the isolated network and added NAT.
