I can’t get the image and video thumbnails to work. They worked on the old Thunar, but not now. I’ve enabled them in preferences, and I’ve tried sudo apt-get install tumbler tumbler-plugins-extra. The thumbnails are not showing.
What file types are you working with? We had to do an awful lot of work to get thumbnailing to turn off by default, and enabling it in preferences should immediately bring it back. Do PNG or JPG images have thumbnails generated for them?

It happens for all media. JPG, PNG, AVI, MOV, MP4 etc etc.

Works here. The box I had to check to enable previews is highlighed below:

I fixed this by completely reinstalling host OS, and VB and downloading Whonix again. Thank you @arraybolt3 for responding as u did. Much appreciated.

I have the same issue as the OP, both in the upgraded Workstation and in a freshly downloaded one. I have the same settings as on your screenshot. It happens mostly to video files (mp4, avi), sometimes to images too.
