Sys-whonix has extreme CPU usage, before an internet connection

Hi, I can’t find the correct place to post an issue, so I’m making it here. Why isn’t there a github place to post issues? That’s kind of stupid. Anyways, here’s the problem:

After installing Qubes R.4.3

Sys-whonix has extreme CPU usage before internet connection, issue persist indefinitely, also happend eventually some time after losing internet connection.

To reproduce:

  1. Start the PC without internet connection OR start the Qube without a NetworkVM
  2. Press qube icon and watch how sys-whonix eats 60% CPU mercilessly

Expected behavior

sys-whonix chills and my fans chill

Actual behavior

Overheating, CPU, despair… until sys-whonix is turned off, or an internet connection is made
Additional information

If you disconnect the internet and wait SOME minutes, sys-whonix will eventually overheat again.
More info: github com/QubesOS/qubes-issues/issues/11013
“After two minutes of uptime, the CPU usage shown by qui-domains varies between 2% and 23%. The process impacting CPU the most, as seen by htop, seems to be jitterentropy-rngd, tor_boostrap_check.py, tor_consensus_valid_after.py, tor-circuit-established-check. meminfo-writer appears from time to time but the memory doesn’t change much so that is not it. There only appears to be Whonix code involved. Can you please redirect your issue to Whonix forum?” - ben-grande

Thanks for the report, I’ll see if I can reproduce this. (I use Qubes-Whonix regularly but I’m virtually always connected to the Internet.)
