ssh connections over tor

hi. I want to connect to my VPS using Tor and SSH from “Whonix-Workstation”, but when I access my server it is too slow, even though it is in a country with a fairly fast internet and its processor and RAM are decent. I did the following steps in Whonix-Workstation:

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade
sudo apt install --no-install-recommends openssh-client

I suppose the connection scheme will be as follows:

User → ssh → Tor → Internet

Unfortunately the instance on my VPS becomes too slow, what do you think about setup the following scheme: User ->Tor → ssh → Internet

Or would using remmina improve things? I also want some considerations regarding security, thank you very much for your comments, I accept any criticism and alternative when possible.

Slowness probably not much can be done about it.

Should be as fast/slow as using Tor without Whonix.

No. You cannot connect to SSH first without Tor when running applications from within Whonix-Workstation.

Probably not.
