Hello, I am a regular privacy oriented qubes user.
I have different qubes for my regular activities (rss, mails, web browsing, messaging apps …) the same way unman have shown in his repo.
While I already use whonix-workstation for my private browsing, I only use whonix-gw as a netvm for my regular qubes.
Does it make sense to migrate all those regular app qubes to whonix-workstation aswell ?
I will for sure increase my OSes hardening with kicksecure and benefit from the whonix software embedded network settings, but maybe loose some flexibility on available packages or OS qubes automated upgrades …
What are your thoughts about when it become useful to migrate to whonix-ws ?

No, because your existing regular activities are presumed to be public, you gain no anonymity and/or privacy advantages migrating those activities to Whonix. What does make sense is changing the template of your regular qubes to Kicksecure, or initializing a new compartmentalized identity exclusively/explicitly for Whonix use cases.
Might be helpful:
I don’t see how this is related.
Nitpick: Location privacy.

Right, decoupling your public activities by using obfuscated locations is a notable benefit as long as it is a permanent migration to Whonix.

Understood. So besides kicksecure,
What are the benefits to use whonix-workstation instead of regular debian using whonix-gw as transparent proxy netvm ?
If I manage correctly the socksports used I think I can meet the same anonymity level for regular apps as it can be done out of the box with whonix-workstation, am I wrong ?
