Hi, I am trying to add socks5 proxy after tor exit node. I have set the proxychains.conf correctly and set tor to transparent proxy setting, however when proxychains starts it appears to ignore the .conf file and say 127.0.0.1 9050 denied.
Proxychains works through iceweasel but not Tor, been trying for 2 days now, any help would be greatly appreciated.

|DNS-response|: www.torproject.org is not existI am quite sure this is some issue with proxychains and/or some lib and/or Tor Browser and not caused by Whonix.
If you want to go through the jungle of technical issues, try find out if and which fork of proxychains is still maintained and make a very good question / bug report. See my signature for guidance. Sorry to say, but since I am very busy with other Whonix work, I can’t be a big help here.

Proxy Settings method did not work for me in Tor Browser with Remote Proxy. Works in Iceweasel.

Same for me too.
Using the same proxy settings as Iceweasel in Tor results in the Tor Browser saying connected to website and them timesout.
This is the other error i get when trying to use Tor proxy settings:
The server rejected the handshake because the client downgraded to a lower TLS version than the server supports.
(Error code: ssl_error_inappropriate_fallback_alert)
I might test this. Know any legally usable, reliable (as in actually working) remote proxies?
It’s been a while since this has been documented. Possibly a new bug has been introduced into Tor Browser in meanwhile or instructions need some update.
It has worked for me before by using 9951 (in accordance with the socks5 client) with a dynamic chain. socks4 is commented out of course. perhaps try 9951 for a port instead or perhaps 9950, 9051, etc
No progress has been made.
Does currently not work. Someone needs to contribute by figuring this out. Otherwise this will not be possible for a very long time.
