Onionshare in my non-Qubes whonix is verison 2.2. How to update it?

The latest Onionshare is version 2.6, however the one in my virtualbox whonix is 2.2 and missing the anonymous chat too. How do I update it to 2.6? And where should I do the update it from the terminal, in workstation or gateway?
