I run into the problem below whenever I try to install software or update any operating system that used onionized repositories on qube. I was able to fix it in the past by restarting tor then restarting sdwdate. This no longer works. Even when it did, it was not at all a practical solution in the long run, needing to go through those steps every time i wanted to install software or update an OS.
This is one of many problems I’ve run into while trying to use onionized repositories. I strongly advise anyone against using these repositories and really wish qubes developers would take them down until they’ve got all their many serious issues worked out.
