Description
The qubes-whonix-gateway-packages-recommended package (qubes-whonix/debian/control at 3f06a183f2030578259b456836a651cd766ffa37 · Whonix/qubes-whonix · GitHub) does not suffice. On the gateway, tinyproxy is not a recommended package. It can be considered a dependency. Without it, TemplateVM apt-get updates are not possible. At least not without deconfiguring updates through tinyproxy. It cannot be added as dependency of the qubes-whonix package, because there is no need to install tinyproxy on the workstation. The best solution seems to be to create a qubes-whonix-gateway-packages-dependencies package. As of now, it’s good enough for Whonix 12. But something worth fixing in Whonix 13.
