Description
Every now and then the NAT vs Bridged Networking topic comes up (on IRC and also forums?). Bridged Network lovers would love to see switching from NAT to Bridged by default.
Last time we discussed this at length was here:
Maybe it’s time to rehash that topic.
I am not proposing we change from NAT to Bridged Networking. But there should be a chapter in the wiki that summarizes the differences, advantages and disadvantages of both. Once that exists, we can decide if we keep the current default (NAT) or move to bridged.
Eventually we’ll provide instructions to switch from one to another.
