Migrating to Qube-Whonix only hardware

Designating a laptop for Whonix (Qubes-Whonix) use is recommended. Would there be any benefit to building all new templates for new Whonix hardware https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/building-whonix-template/? Meaning migrating from a combined clearnet + Whonix hardware.

Apart from learning experience not much. Qubes-Whonix templates are build by installing from official, remote Whonix binary repository deb.whonix.org…

…unless creating your own Whonix binary repository by configuring variables

  • whonix_repository_apt_line
  • whonix_signing_key_file

And then also upgrading Whonix from source code rather than Whonix binary repository.
