I’m using Whonix inside KVM, with Kicksecure as the host. I am trying to place an audio call with Gajim,
but I can’t hear the other person, nor can the other person hear me. I tried another program called Jami to test
if it were my server misbehaving or not, but I can’t hear or be heard with it either. However, I can be hear and
be heard on the host Kicksecure. I am using the built-in microphone, but I also tested an external microphone.
I get the same result.
I read on another forum post that KVM allows passthrough by default, so I’m not sure what’s wrong. I’m willing
to give whatever advice you have for me a try.
