Make host machine more invisible to the network (or more undistinguishably)

Now whonix runs inside a VM. But not the VM is connected to a network, the host computer is.
When the host connects, the network can see all the host machines ports/name/mac adresses etc.

How can I make myself even more invisible to the network? Or not invisible - more undistinguishably from other machines
Mac Adress changing is one way, as in the wiki. (Pre Install Advice)

Do you have any more tips?

Hide Tor use from the Internet Service Provider is related, but perhaps not what you want.

No, I don’t think there are any documented and/or legal ways to do so.
