The client test script is Open Source but the server is not. That’s somewhat misleading?
But not a deciding point since other leak tests we link to are web services without public source code too.

has very few mentions when searching for it.
“bash.ws”
almost no mentions from other websites talking about it.
But bash.ws/dnsleak has 131 stars on github.
