This is persistent bug i have. It disappears when i killall lxqt-panel but returns, when i run it again.
Any way to fix this?

I randomly appears and disappears. Last time it disappeared after I removed quick launch from panel. But after repooting VM, it still there
Maybe this log after i restart lxqt can give any clue:
since it changed when you removed quick launch, i would add the panel plugins back one at a time and restart lxqt-panel after each one. the black box is usually one plugin drawing a window sized area, not the whole panel, so the plugin that brings it back tells you where to look. a fresh test user with a default panel would also separate a bad panel config from a system bug.
