KVM Workstation Error on startup - “Error starting domain: Unable to write to ‘/sys/fs/cgroup/machine/qemu-5-Whonix-Workstation.libvirt-qemu/emulator/cpuset.cpus’: Numerical result out of range”

Hello, I have recently attempted to install Whonix for KVM and am experiencing an error I can’t figure out. I am able to run the Whonix Gateway just fine from virt manager, but upon trying to launch the Workstation I get the error:
“Error starting domain: Unable to write to ‘/sys/fs/cgroup/machine/qemu-5-Whonix-Workstation.libvirt-qemu/emulator/cpuset.cpus’: Numerical result out of range”

All of my software is up to date and I am trying to run Whonix 17.2.8.5
Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

I installed a Debian virtual machine to test and it worked perfectly fine. The gateway runs perfectly fine as well, it’s only the workstation that’s throwing errors.

Check cpuset KVM xml setting and play with it, modify, remove.

extraextra had the right answer. Turns out the whonix workstation was mapped to a cpu that doesn’t exist on my machine. Thanks for the help everybody.
