Konsole Terminal Freezes

I’m new to whonix and just trying to write my first commands within the konsole terminal.

When I write the command ‘sudo nano /etc/tor/torrc’ I get the response:
[sudo] password for user…

And I am unable to type anything else within the terminal. NOTHING.

I have tried other commands like ‘sudo su’ to change my password and
the same thing happens.

What am I missing??

This is expected. Usual behavior of sudo on any linux distribution I know. It’s not frozen. Just type as usual. Confusing part is just that you don’t see any stars or so.

Thanks Patrick.

Now, to the next problem…using socks5. Expect me back soon!
