Kernel panic- not syncing: No working init found

Just updated my workstation and gateway for an issue to occur. When I launch them both, the gateway launches fine but the workstation gives me the following error after a brief period. The version for both is 17.1.1.5 not sure what’s happening. I also have the logs for the VM. I hope this can be fixed, I’m new to whonix so it’s possible I blew it up. Please help if possible!

I managed to end up with the chroot portion and tried with Arch and debian. Now, I am running into the issue of having no connection, so I am unable to proceed with the next steps. Is there an easy fix to this?
