Hello. I have a problem, I can’t install the programms deb package and tar.gz in sysmaint. Whonix 17.3.9.9 Do you have instructions on how to do this?

It is not clear how to get to the folder where the deb package is downloaded. Through the System Maintence Panel terminal, it is not possible to get to the User directory, it allows you to work only in the sysmaint directory
In Workstation under user, I can’t install anything through the terminal
.deb
packages are installed globally into the system. Copying from account sysmaint to account user is superfluous. No need.
sysmaint can access the root account, and root can do anything.

You find it in the location where you downloaded it.
tar.gz based installations are application specific.
tar.gz based software installation of arbitrary software not documented in the wiki is for advanced users only.
