Initial setup Whonix-Gateway

Hi there,

After following the wiki instructions to get Whonix-Gateway+WS running, I was not getting any sign of being connected and not being able to use ping makes things harder :slight_smile:

Turns out that I needed to run sudo setup-dist in Whonix-Gateway to get things moving! After running that everything is running smooth. If this is the way to get it working, I think it should be included in the wiki. It can also be that whonixcheck and/or setup-dist should autostart in the first run but that didn’t happen in my case (16.0.3.7). It did autostart in Whonix-Workstation.

Yes it should autostart. Maybe it’s a one off bug this time.

I didn’t use that. Did you test if setup-dist autostarts when using KVM CLI? @HulaHoop
