I created this account to perform a task and now have finished what I came to do. I could not find an option to close my account. How can I do this?

As far as I know the discourse webapp which Whonix is using does not provide such a feature to users. See also Privacy on the Whonix ™ Website. Users usually just stop using their account. What would you like to accomplish?

Discourse has a feature Anonymizing User that I as a discourse forum admin could run on your account. Anonymizing User describe here:
