Gmail emails should be allowed

Right now, Gmail emails aren’t allowed to register on Whonix forums, and I don’t understand why.

I know Google eats your data for breakfast, but so does every single “private email” provider too.

What is the purpose of this ?

The reasons for the blockade of gmail addresses for this form of practical, legal nature. This is not an ideological decision.

I need to be able to receive real, person-to-person e-mails such as for legal notifications. A hypothetical example would be a lawyer attempting to deliver a DMCA notification because some user posted copyrighted materials in the forums. It is crucial to receive such e-mails.

The issue is, gmail admins do not communicate. They’re quick to block a domain (such as this domain) for receiving too much of what they classify as spam. For example, too many forums e-mail notifications are considered spam. This actually happened. When attempting to contact them to discuss the issue, no mere mortal will ever receive a reply.

In that case, it is no longer possible to receive e-mails in Gmail inboxes originating from this domain name you’re currently reading.

I am not sure it is even possible to still send e-mails to this server from Gmail. But even if received, I couldn’t reply. And if I reply from a different e-mail domain, it might end up in the spam filter.

This unreasonable, uncommunicative behavior from Gmail - which isn’t targeting this domain name - it’s a general issue - has brought me to the conclusion that it’s best to ban Gmail addresses for signing up in this forum.
