Gateway can't reconnect after HOST suspend/resume

This happens on three different systems with different flavors Linux. After the host suspends and then resumes, the Gateway won’t reconnect to TOR no matter what I do (restart tor, restart firewall) I have to POWER OFF the Gateway and restart the VM (restarting from withing VM doesn’t work).

Is this expected behavior. Any way to avoid?

Using suspend / resume… is recommended against due to issues much like you are experiencing.
