as Funtoo is just a offspring from Gentoo and only differs in areas from it, I don’t see any reason to specifically support it, especially because their support of KVM is essentially the same we have in most other modern “Linuxes”.
Regarding Whonix on QEMU, existed once, was scrapped because of the bad performance which not hardware accelerated emulation offers, see here: QEMU - Whonix

yeah i know that, but thought because of the lack of the development not because QEMU is just bad idea.
