Hi people, I didn’t use the workstation for awhile so I forgot both the root and user passwords. They are not changeme since I changed them. Is there a way to recover them because I have an text document in the wokstation which I need?

I’ve just tried this Reset Root Password Debian - YouTube but it doesn’t work. It said that the password is changed but when I try to login it doesn’t work.
