Error: Upgrade Guest Addition

After start of “Guest Addition Upgrade” the following error is shown.

There are no problem with the Whonix-Xfce-17.4.4.6.Intel_AMD64.ova

There usually isn’t any need to use the “Upgrade Guest Additions” button in VirtualBox. The version of Guest Additions in Debian are built into Whonix VirtualBox VMs, and use of the guest additions ISO provided by VirtualBox is discouraged. See:

If you want to use the very latest Guest Additions anyway for some reason, you will need to uninstall the virtualbox-guest-x11 and virtualbox-guest-utils packages, then install Guest Additions using Oracle’s instructions at:

https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.html#additions-linux

(Note that you will have to add a virtual CD drive to the VM before you can insert the Guest Additions ISO.)
