Description
Tor Browser does not support /etc/ config files to set the homepage. (Iceweasel does, but that lacks the Tor Browser changes.) Neither Firefox, nor Iceweasel nor Tor Browser support setting homepage (or more generally: prefs) by using environment variables.
Less hacky solution:
Write a Tor Button patch, when environment Y is set to X, then set homepage to X. Could take a while until patch gets merged. Needs someone capable for writing javascript! We have no one so far.
Good solution:
Implement setting prefs by environment variables into Firefox. Could take a while until patch gets merged. Needs someone capable for writing C. We have no one so far.
