Does tor-ctrl change circuit for all streams?

Does using ‘tor-ctrl signal newnym’ change the circuit for all streams that are open on the gateway, or just the main one on the 127.0.0.1:9501 socket? I would like to be able to change the circuit for my XMPP socket, which is running through 10.152.152.10:9103 but when I use ‘tor-ctrl -s 10.152.152.10:9103 signal newnym’ it says

tor-ctrl: [notice] attempting to connect to specified socket 10.152.152.10:9103
tor-ctrl: Authentication method not detected.
tor-ctrl: 10.152.152.10:9103 does not seems to be tor’s controller socket.

Read about newnym here: Commands - Tor Specifications

Newnym is all or nothing. No port specific newnym feature.

If you need something else read the Tor control-spec.

Correct.

Not needed. Do not use.
