Correct way of using Whonix KVM

I followed http:// www.dds6qkxpwdeubwucdiaord2xgbbeyds25rbsgr73tbfpqpt4a6vjwsyd. onion/wiki/KVM, and I feel I got it right installing. I intent to use multiple-workstations and gateways, and changed the Whonix-Internal and changed the harcoded IP, but all gateways use the same Whonix-External and I’m kinda worried. Is that normal? Won’t that bypass isolation? Is the DHCP-step required for regular usage?

Thank You.

There is no security risk in using the same virtual network ‘Whonix-External’ across multiple-workstations and gateways. Is this correct?
@HulaHoop

No problem as long as connectivity is good, you don’t need to assign different static IPs per GW

I hope you don’t mean connecting the Whonix Workstations directly to it… If you mean having multiple GWs on there then no, there is no safety problems as GWs are supposed to be trusted in the security model. You should have the common sense to have different Internal networks so WSs are isolated from each other and assigned to a different GW.
