Hi everyone,
I’m trying to set up my Whonix Workstation 17 (clone) to connect through a sys-vpn net qube instead of the usual sys-whonix. My goal is to enjoy the security and anonymity that Whonix provides while also using a VPN.
I’ve made sure to set the net qube to sys-vpn. I also disabled the Tor service using systemctl disable tor, restarted the template, and tested it in an AppVM, but unfortunately, I’m not having any success.
Is it possible to configure Whonix Workstation this way? I’d really appreciate any help or insights!

@Patrick Do you have any insight on the anonymity benefits on Whonix vs. Kicksecure in a VPN over Tor setup?

My immediate thought was that Whonix was basically a Torified version of Kicksecure with isolated networking but as that comes by default in Qubes I was wondering if there is even any point in my guide.
