Can't install i2p in whonix

Hi, everyone. New to the Forum.

I followed the official guide to getting i2p up and running on whonix.

when i go to do sudo apt update after adding and verifying the keyring i get this:

E: The repository ‘tor+https://deb.i2p.net bookworm InRelease’ is not signed.
N: Updating from such a repository can’t be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

using sudo apt install --no-install-recommends i2p i2p-keyring bring up this error:

his may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package ‘i2p’ has no installation candidate

Installing I2P in whonix may not be a good idea in general.

Its an upstream issue, will check with them.

Even if you manage to, I2P uses/suports UDP, tor doesn’t.

Not only UDP, it can be only using TCP.

It can be as well installed on GW, where it can be functional for both UDP and TCP.

Re-tested the installation setups, the issue has been fixed.
