what do u mean? i use xfce4. and in VB settings i have host audio driver - PulseAidio and audio controller ICH aC97.

PS the sound is there, but it’s very quiet VERYY. but the mixer is turned on maximum

Ok, should have mentioned that the sound is just not all to loud, assumed you asked because there was no sound at all. Please keep in mind that in this scenario, you have to set the sound both on host and guest. Try setting both to the max.
