Extraction of rar files is impossible in Whonix if the archive has a password.
Neither the command unar nor the package xarchiver or file-roller is able to extract password protected rar archives. I’ve tested this myself by creating a simple archive then extracting it right away.
Test this yourself. Boot up the latest Whonix version in a VM and do the same I did.
