apt-upgrade gets stuck indefinitely on fresh Whonix v. 17.0.3.0

I’m using KVM, Whonix version 17.0.3.0.

On a first launch of Whonix-Gateway, I setup the tor connection:
sudo setup-dist

Then after it’s successful, I do routine apt upgrade:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

However, it gets stuck indefinitely on this:

Preparing to unpack .../06-tirdad-dkms_0%3a0.1.25-1_amd64.deb ...
Module tirdad-0.1 for kernel 6.1.0-10-amd64 (x86_64).
Before uninstall, this module version was ACTIVE on this kernel.

tirdad.ko:
 - Uninstallation
   - Deleting from: /lib/modules/6.1.0-10-amd64/updates/dkms/
 - Original module
   - No original module was found for this module on this kernel.
   - Use the dkms install command to reinstall any previous module version.
depmod....

I’ve waited over 2 hours and still running, even the dots don’t move.
Is this a known issue?

seems KVM comes with too less RAM?

Yes, case closed. Bumping RAM to 1G solved the problem.

The default 256M is really low indeed.
