Any profit of ping obfs4 bridges?

Hello. I use Whonix with obfs4 bridges and I want to make my connection to the Tor network as fast as possible. I visit https://bridges.torproject.org website, take obfs4 bridges from there and ping them, and then choose only those bridges which have the lowest ping in ms. Is it good approach or not? Is there any profit of pinging obfs4 bridges?

Tor question. Unspecific to Whonix.

This will perhaps help with the first hop performance but you can’t know what the final outcome will be because the next two hops are chosen randomly and turnover regularly.

I agree but if the first hop will be slow so the whole circuits will be slow am I right?

That’s true at that point in time. Note that this says nothing about the reliability/availability of the bridge or how likely it is that it has been blacklisted. Going with perf alone can sacrifice the other two.
